A Leader must have the following attributes:
Knowing the way – V (Vision and Vitality) Involves intellectual qualities and mission related skills.
Showing the way – I (Involvement and Interaction) Psycho-social qualities and people related skills.
Going the way – P (Performance and Persistence) Personal qualities and Effectiveness related skills.
A Vision without Action is Day-Dreaming whilst Action without a Vision is a Nightmare (Japanese Proverb).
Leadership therefore begins with a vision.
